Professional Organizations

These are professional organizations that we are associated with:

For many of us, the Chesapeake Bay means food and fun. As one of the world's most productive estuaries, the Bay provides some of the best seafood on the planet and a livelihood for thousands of people in our region. But the Bay's health is struggling, and we all play a role in its improvement.

Find lawn care professionals who offer the Chesapeake Club standard — a standard of lawn care designed specifically for the grasses, soils and growing seasons of our watershed.

National Pest Management Association (NPMA), a non-profit organization committed to the protection of public health, food and property.

Please utilize PestWorld.org as your main resource for information on bugs, rodents, pest control, and the growing professional pest management industry.

Pestworld for Kids.org is part of the National Pest Management Association's efforts to educate future consumers about the benefits of professional pest control and encourage their interest in professional pest control as a career. In order to generate this interest, the association, along with Vault Communications, Educational Web Adventures, and CreativeMatter.net developed an educational children’s web site dedicated to pests.

PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network, is an international association serving lawn care professionals, landscape management contractors, design/build/installation professionals, and interior plantscapers. PLANET provides its members with a good business foundation to help them evaluate, plan, and better manage their companies. Member firms have direct access to marketing tools, industry specific business publications, updates on legislative issues, and networking opportunities that can assist them in becoming more profitable.

QualityPro is an initiative designed to increase professionalism in the pest management industry. This dynamic program certifies companies based on comprehensive standards. Known as “the mark of excellence in pest control,” the QualityPro designation can be achieved by ensuring that all employees voluntarily ascribe to a set of standards far above what is required by state and federal regulations.

The Maryland Turfgrass Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement of the turfgrass industry in the State of Maryland. Over the years, the Council has grown in membership and steadily increased the scope of its activities. Over 1,500 people are now active members of the Council.
