Lawn Care, Grubs
This is a preventive treatment to reduce the grub population in your lawn. Grubs can severely damage your lawn by eating away the root system of the turf. The grubs will than turn into Japanese Beatles which attack your plants in your landscape. We combine this treatment with our summer application to make sure we get the grubs early.
Facts About Grubs:
- These tiny, white, semi-circular pests can easily ruin a lawn in one season.
- As worms, grubs eat the roots of the grass.
- About 1/2" to 1.5" long, these pests become Japanese beetles upon reaching adulthood.
How do you know if you have grubs in your lawn?
- Brown patches are noticed in the turf and the turf will pull up easily.
- The lawn will be thin and adding water will not improve the quality as the grass will continue to look wilted.
- You will notice an excessive number of birds in the lawn and possibly raccoons.
As part of our recommended lawn care program we will apply grub control in the summer to stop grubs from destroying your lawn. If you are not on the recommended Lawn care program, grub control can be added to your current lawn care program at any time. Contact Blades of Green immediately for a Free Consultation.
