Why should I hire Blades of Green to maintain my lawn instead of doing it myself?

We are professionals, we know how much, how often and how too! Your time is very valuable, why spend your weekend slaving in the yard when you could spend your free time enjoying your family. Why would you go through all that work when hiring a professional will deliver much better results.

 

We have had several disappointments with other lawn care companies in the past, why would Blades of Green be any different?

Blades of Green is a small, locally owned, family operated lawn care company that prides itself in being number one in customer satisfaction. We treat every lawn as if it were our own.

 

Do you have to leave those signs in my yard?

Yes. We are required by law to post these standardized signs on any lawn that has been freshly treated with a pesticide. This sign notifies you and your neighbors that a pesticide application has been applied and informs you to keep the family and pets off the lawn for 48 hours. You may remove and discard the signs after 48 hours.

 

What type of information is left at my home after an application?

Our professional applicator will leave you the company invoice that will include the name of the applicator, the date that it was applied, the type of application that was performed and any comments that they deem necessary. You may also receive information regarding other services recommended for your lawn. In addition you will find a return envelope, which includes an invoice requiring payment, and four times a year, a newsletter.

 

Can you notify me before an Application?

Although it is much easier to properly maintain your lawn on the schedule that we have designed for you, we understand that you may require prior notification. If this is the case, please inform our office and we will be happy to oblige.

Lawn Questions

May I mow the same day as my lawn was treated?

If weed control was applied, Do Not Mow For 24 Hours. However, if fertilizer was the only product applied, you may mow immediately.

 

If I have beetles on my lawn and in my shrubs, does this mean that I have grubs?

Unfortunately, Yes. The beetle is the adult stage of the insect and grubs are the off spring. It only takes a matter of days for the grubs to hatch and begin feeding on roots of your grass!

 

Can we keep our neighbors dandelions from spreading into our yard?

The best defense against dandelions is Blades of Green! Their professional staff will help you to achieve a lawn so thick, lush and dense - the dandelions won’t have a chance!

 

Will some leaves on my lawn keep the product from getting on the turf?

Some leaves will not affect the application as long as it is not heavy leaf coverage, if it is heavy leaf coverage we will not do the application.
