Bag Worm Control

Facts about bag worms:

• Bag worms can devastate most evergreens such as Leyland Cypress, Arborvitae and pines.



• If left unchecked the worms will destroy whole trees and spread to other trees.



• A typical female worm will lay hundreds of eggs every spring.



• The eggs are in the sacks you see hanging from the branches of your trees, they resemble pine cones.



• The worms are spread by the wind as well as by thin pieces of silk.

Our program is designed to complement the lawn care program and consists of a spray that is applied in early summer. The spray contains agents that are systemic (the spray is absorbed into the evergreen and will eliminate the bagworms as they feed) as well as contact effective (when the spray contacts the bag worm).
